Leila A. McNeill is a writer, editor, and historian of women and gender in the history of science. She is the co-author of the Plutarch Award nominated book Forces of Nature, The Women Who Changed Science, and the forthcoming narrative non-fiction book A Candle in the Cosmos from MIT Press.

Leila lives in Dallas, TX with her husband and three weird dogs. In her free time, she can be found in her garden covered in dirt, cooing over her houseplants, or reading a book with a dog on her lap.
